Ok to text during sex?

We used to tell the youngster “Don’t drink and drive!” Is the advice of the 2010’s “Don’t text and sex!”

Apparently quite a few kids under 25 don’t see a big problem in taking a small break during hot and steamy lovemaking if the mobile is calling for attention. 11% agree to “be interrupted with an electronic message” at such an intimate moment. The same number for over 25 is only 6%.

This is where we feel the urge to look at other contributing factors in Generation Y than just being a tech savvy bunch. “Could there be a connection between age and the ability to actually take such a break” we feel the urge to ask.  It is a well-known fact that there is a correlation between age and keeping the action going, if you- dear reader- know what we mean. We already know they are great at multitasking, so maybe it is not such a big deal reading a text and checking Facebook updates while doing “it”? Or should they be warned? Should we  25+’ers teach them about intimacy and going offline? Should “handling technology” be a part of the “Birds and the bees” talk? We already have the campaign slogan:

“Turn on and Turn off”
